About Us
Faces is a clinical skincare clinic located in beautiful downtown Newburyport MA, owned and operated by Laura Aussant, licensed esthetician of 22 years. Our skincare practice uses non-invasive and minimally invasive technologies, treatments and products to help our clients achieve their anti-aging and acne treatment goals.
Laura graduated from the Catherine Hinds Institute of Esthetics in 2003 and has been a licensed, practicing clinical esthetician in Newburyport for the last 21 years. Prior to opening Faces, Laura worked at Shanti Salon as a licensed esthetician in their skincare department for 8 years. Laura also holds a Master’s Degree in Social Work from Boston College and practiced as an outpatient psychotherapist for 10 years. Laura brings her passion for helping others along with her clinical listening and interviewing skills to her clinical esthetics practice. In her spare time Laura enjoys spending time in beautiful Newburyport with her family and friends.

Lauren is a Licensed Esthetician with 18 years of experience in the aesthetics industry. She began her career in Newburyport, Massachusetts, before relocating to Charlotte, North Carolina, where she worked alongside leading dermatologists. During that time, her focus expanded beyond traditional aesthetics and beauty treatments to include advanced skin health, dermatological conditions, and evidence-based skincare.
A lifelong New Englander at heart, Lauren returned to Massachusetts in 2016 and welcomed her son, Benjamin, who is now nine years old. Since returning, she has continued to build her reputation as a trusted skincare professional, including spending more than four years at Interlocks Salon & Day Spa in Newburyport.
Today, Lauren combines her extensive experience in medical aesthetics, dermatology, and skincare education to help clients achieve healthy, confident skin through personalized treatment plans and long-term skin health strategies

Dr. Sasmor is the acting Medical Director for Faces Clinical Skincare. Our relationship with Dr. Sasmor allows for clinical collaboration and oversight of our treatments that are more clinical in nature. In addition to helping us uphold the highest clinical standards of care our connection with Dr. Sasmor also allows us to have a local doctor to refer to for skin conditions/concerns that are out of our scope of practice. Furthermore, having a medical director enables Faces to carry the best medical grade skincare available. We are thrilled to have this relationship with such a reputable Newburyport based plastic surgeon.
